New Products for InWorldz

This is my new Foxglove Orchid which I am more or less finished making. The flower prim is based on the shape of a foxglove (digitalis) hence the name... though I doubt we'll ever see a foxglove in RL with these colours.

It should go on sale soon on my sim soror Nishi Island.




Nyx Breen is doing a show of various elf-inspired floating islands on his sim, details to follow, and this group of floating islands (in Tree of Trees colours) I thought could be something someone might want on their own sim, so I have it/them for sale on my sim ... contact me for details....

Now, I'm not sure if I have mentioned in these pages that Nazz Lane has done a very competent interview with me on his excellent blog Lane's List....

...and I am sure I haven't mentioned Neph's post on the ecological advantages brought to her bog by the planting of the Telepathic Bog Lilly which is a more recent post... here. Dark Moon sim is in SL, and mentioned previously here.

New Trees at Rainbow Country

Rainbow Country is the name of my shop sim at Inworldz, and the latest tree set for sale there is the totally new Twisted Tree..





Its 27 prims and really only good at night, it bleaches out too much in daylight, tho it is copy/mod so you can play with the glow or the particles....






As it can be a bit difficult to find new stuff.....( forest and trees sayings come to mind...) ... I have built a little showcase pavilion at sea level under the big slanting rock, and I'll showcase the latest stuff there so it's easy to find.

Currently showing the Fuschia Orchid, the Xmas Daisy Tree and the Twisted Tree...

The Xmas Daisy Tree

Great to have plenty of time to mess about and fiddle with textures. This is my latest tree in IWz, also originally grown on my local OS grid. I have just finished reading a chinese book so I may have been a bit influenced, tho the chrysanthemum-like daisy textures were probably enough to get my creative juices flowing in that direction.... tho the trunk is maybe more japanese, to be precise.





It's my first one of the new year, or last of the old, depending how you look at it.... and a great start I think.

Rezzday, InWorldz...

Built a couple of new Oak Trees InWorldz over the past couple of days, loosely based on their SL cousins. Always good to have not-too-kooky trees for people who want a Not-Too-Kooky-Forest. Will no doubt make a few different (kooky?) colour schemes over time.






Some of you may recognise this Bluebird Orchid from SL, it's now available in IW where the fact that its a bit prim heavy won't worry anyone....

Now, Saturday, it is my Rezzday in Inworldz. ... and, you are, of course all welcome. Still trying to find a DJ, and I've asked DD if he wants to come to IW for the first time and do a gig... we will see... anyway...one thing is for certain...I will be there from 2 til 4 pm PDT and will be dancing to the radio if nothing else.....or chilling with a few friends. Probable location, all bugs willing, will be Alchemy Labs at my platform (400m)....just IM for a tp when you arrive.

Busy building stuff....

Well, some of you may already have seen this on my Flickr stream where I am called misssorornishi becasue I forgot my password and stuff after a very short while..:))
...anyway, it's called the Slipper Orchid and is my latest flower, tho I haven't got round to putting it up for sale yet (same with the following two pieces...*sigh*)





This is the Blue Oak and it has no fruit, flowers or particles, it's just a pretty tree and I can't wait to get the opportunity to plant a forest of em, I think it will be a nice cross between real and soror trees, its got a sort of real feel to it. Well....about as real as I'm ever going to make, I think.






...and this one is the 85th Ancient which is a 3 prim tree, so fairly useful for small gardens cos prims cost money... I have made various attempts at a 1 prim tree but I'm not really happy with them. Partly it's down to the restrictions of Blender, there are only so many 'vertices' and you cant do much in 64x64 pixels...things may look a bit different when we get meshes...(when)... but I think two will still be the minimum prim count... trunk and canopy are so basically different in texture and structure, tho there are some very clever people out there with 3Ds Max who have done very well....

In other news......buy yourself your own SL for just US$55,000, yes, that's the price of your own grid with 8 sims and 10 types of avi....Nebraska land grab starts today. It's now called Second Life Enterprise, not Nebraska,...and it's aimed at businesses, well, at that price....lol....
I guess what irritates me a bit is not that these people want to insulate themselves from the talented builders of SL, that's up to them, but how is it that they get offered 100 avis per region and we only get 40??...or have I missed something. Seems to me like I have been contributing fairly regularly to the Linden fund for a few years , maybe I should reap a few benefits too?? Haven't I been helping out financially with it's R&R as well as the new cars and expensive lunches??

I do love you all really, Boys.... but...

55,000....well, it's like I always say.... the Lindens don't work for Lindens...

Early Purple Orchid

My latest flower, its not in the shop yet.....its at Caerleon, where, until inspiration strikes I have set up my site office and a little nature table... in a rather contrary ("unlike Soror", I hear ironic friends remark) move I have decided I will not compete in the ego race (who can build biggest, using the most fullbright prims) but will wait Zen-like for Genius to pay a visit, or not.

In the meantime, things are racing along with the Poetik Velvets collab I'm doing with CensoredMy Lund, and I have a week to get it together....:)))
