[15:56] soror Nishi: 3 people...it cant even manage 3 people....how pathetic
[15:56] Miso Susanowa: so couldn't we get 10 peeps together and approach Kickstarter for the funds to buy SL?
[15:56] Miso Susanowa: it isnt 3 people
[15:56] Wizard Gynoid: yesh
[15:57] Miso Susanowa: you know group works? you'll vomit.

[16:00] Wizard Gynoid: with messages tied around their necks.
[16:00] Wizard Gynoid: no wonder it's friggin slow
[16:01] soror Nishi: good one
[16:01] Miso Susanowa: hey i included the all-important nature image that most "haiku" writers forget
[16:01] soror Nishi: yep...it qualifies
[16:02] Miso Susanowa: yeah; they downgraded their Norvegicus hardy rats for effete interbred lab rats
[16:03] Wizard Gynoid: profane SL haiku - the Contest!

Aliz and a dance
Aliz has a new show.. and I particularly like her new Pink Piece, its the sort of art that is going eventually to be seen and recognised (for those that are into that sort of fame) as being unique to Virtual Worlds, simply cos you can't make this at home with some egg cartons and an empty washing-up liquid bottle.
It is worth a visit, as usual.
I did fly around the sim as she recommended but I just get annoyed (surprised?) by this methodical building of RL Architecture and imitation RL... its such a painful waste of prims, seen from my view point.
RANT WARNING....There is a direct correlation between EASE and QUALITY, that is to say...the easier something is to do, the more people do it indiscriminately..... and quality goes thro the floor....
For example...... before printing....only books that were worth copying by hand were copied...the effort involved was major....now I get spam of such inane quality...lol
Music..... now everyone can make crap on their computers at home, the world is drowning in dodgy efforts (which is OK for the most part cos I don't have to listen to it)...
BUT... as it is very easy to build in SL ...well...lots of prims get turned into poor copies of RL objects, which I do have to live with and Galleries get filled with photographs that should never have seen the light of day..:))))
Of course....I am just teasing ..(?).... its great on the other hand that everyone has a go at something creative...:))).... its just that a lot of the products of this endeavour would be better composted on a great prim compost heap.

Got out for a dance too, yesterday, for the first time for (seems like ) ages... at Eifachfilm Vacirca's build....I went simply cos it was called Fruit Penetration... didn't find any fruit, and luckily (unfortunately??) no penetration...but
enjoyed the dance....

Always look on the bright side of life
Well, its that sort of a day, and the tune is haunting me.
Easter, the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox, I love all that stuff. Its a throw-back to times when the calendar was regulated by the heavenly bodies, the Nature gods and our agricultural heritage..... great. Things are less related now, to anything, which helps strengthen our "alienation".
Standing alone and homeless (I use the phrase metaphorically) is a trial and a test, lol.
Eggs. Hmmm. well, .... what does my life REALLY need? not eggs.
So.....all thanks and praises to..... the Monty Python team and that great song. Life of Brian was banned in Norway when it first came out, and I had to wait til I got to Holland to see it, and that song has helped me a few times when life just gets so bizarre its almost macabre.

Its just about as finished as its ever going to be and, although I have a few hundred prims left, there won't be enough prims in the kitty to do much more with it at this point..... don't worry, its an egg-free zone.

Thanks for the nice comments....xxxxxxxxx

a mixed bag

This is Selavy Oh, as many of you know, possibly my favourite builder in SL. I have blogged her amazing pieces of work before, and missed getting a photo of her for my "best of 2008" post. She has become one of the latest friends of mine to be asked to join NPIRL, and recently Cube Republic has also joined. Congats and welcome to both...:)))

New products for sale at the beach....well....round the corner in Iz Space actually, bordering my bit of beach....( I will get them into the shop eventually...are the new flexi fern and the bunches of `Morning Glory...

I have spent quite a lot of time this week just hanging out and chatting to good friends, maybe a reaction to the Gallery Show and the work that that entailed. Been IM ing like a mad person, actually, amazing how friends change your life and how good they are for your self esteem....:)))

And how amusing it is when creativity and humour collide.... here is a strange scene from last nights opening.......I cant describe how funny it was, but the gruesome photos gives an idea that something unusual had happened....we were all in fits of laughter, Wizzy and Nada (I think....god I am terrible with names) had me doubled up so i could hardly type..(same old, some of you might say..:)) ) A spiral stair of noobs is a surreal thing to behold, and Wizzy ("likes to sit on stuff") made some noob sofas, except they were not noobs, but named after a member of the LL clan....
Well, she did have an axe to grind.... honestly..
