Well, had to have a sit down after all that, and it doesn't even look like I've done much.....still groundworks.....:))
Well here I am in a huge area, its quarter of a sim, and right at the start of the new forest..... very exciting
and terraforming I looooove, its so much fun......I love geography and studied geology at school.... and I could terraform half the night-long, which is exactly what I did..... hehhehe
Anyway, had loads of compliments on Orange Island build....... someone said its like the smell of spring flowers.....:))).. and lots of blog mentions.... Charlot you are too kind, thx...
Charlots Web has some great photos.....http://charlotdickins.wordpress.com/

Busy Builder
Well, just a few snaps from my new build at the Sacred Feminine Club, only started there yesterday, and dont know if I have all the plants I need....
This is my giant prim pine tree, its kinda nice to have something that big.... 2 prims for the tree plus 2 more with the sidebranch, and the flowering vine is 6
Well, although theres a long way to go, you can see that its starting to shape up....
Its been a week since I blogged, went to the speedbuild again, didnt make such a fool of myself this time...... but needed nostrum forders script again....:))
looked like an atomic bomb had gone off
all quiet on the beach, nothing much to report...:)))

The future is an orange
Well, finally got the Most Ancient One planted on Orange Island, my latest build....
Still a lot of small fiddling around to be done but the basic planting first fix, is there.
Great fun to check, as I did, when I started, how many prims I had to play with in the land info, under How Many Prims bit on the land thingy...... well, a real treat........ never seen before....... 14000 prims available......hehehehehe... now thats what I call a building site !!!!
The address is Orange 4 (197,206,24) and its a good idea to go when no-one else is there, cos all those sculpties take a while to pop, hope its worth the wait...
Otherwise, went to the haiku speed build, (no sculpties allowed) and made a bit of an arse of myself.......well, it was late at night and I was experimenting on my build with the alpha texs, inside each other, you know how the transparent bug plays havoc with your tex....well, I put 5 prims inside each other with alpha tex..... and, it wasnt brilliant, but it was interesting, then Rez says "1 minute to go" and, either the Lag Monster ate two of my prims, or, more likely, I hit the wrong key and deleted two!! it looked absolute crap when it came to judging and I couldnt leave it there.....
Oh, well, a few disasters, in public, never killed anyone..... .hehehehehe
Anyway, I will get around to putting Orange Island in my Picks, soonish......

64,000 ..... that is a new record ..... concurrency
Well, its called concurrency, how -many-people-are=online-at-the=same=time, and 64,00 is a new record.......
theres a buildup of people using second life, and i think its probably cos the Linden Boys have got it together a bit better....
Its true theres more people going for the OpenSim stuff, but apparently theres still miles to go before you can even walk properly
Reuters says "OpenSim worlds like Central Grid run on new technology, looking and feeling primitive compared to Second Life. Avatar movements are jerky and imprecise. The “search” function is completely non-functional. The inventory server is so new that while you can carry objects across regions, it’s still impossible to transfer items from one avatar to another, quashing any economic applications until fixed."
so that doesnt sound much fun....
anyway, good luck to us all and the linden Boys......

Blender Videos for beginners
Well, I got sent to see the videos, on the recommendation of one who knows
at http://blenderunderground.com/
and its true there are some very thorough videos there for beginners, (need a PC to view properly,) its just that I'm not very good with instructions, and I have a Mac, both of which contribute to me feeling like a completley bored plank of wood after about an hour.
I just figured its a long part of my life to devote to this stuff. Its not like I can't use Blender, its just that I dont know if i need to know that much.
I wanna drive my car without knowing the thermal expansion rate of petrol etc....
Anyway for complete beginners, its a great place to start and I shall go back there, when I have time, I still have tons to learn but I'm not really that sort of user.
I use my mouse for everything, cant remember all those geeky type hotkeys and shortcuts, and most of them dont work on a Mac anyway (the Blender ones) or maybe I'm just doing it wrong.
Anyway, pretty busy at the moment, still waiting on Orange and have got another project to start soon, its still under wraps, will tell all when I get some cash....

Goats on Orange??
OK, so this is my islet,..... in the Orange Island archipelago... this is the site of my new build
now it looks to me like goats have been here... typical deforestation..... could be that the Linden Boys used goats to clear the island back in the old days.... anyway, it's obviously in desperate need of some more vegetation, to prevent soil erosion, if nothing else.
well, hope to get started soon, just waiting for the go-ahead from Orange...

The Beach
Well, I thought I'd take another couple of photos of the beach for those of you who haven't been there...
I am meeting new people who haven't seen previous photos, and although it is possible to trawl through a blogs archives, I never do, and suppose other people don't either.... :))
I am having more joy with The Most Ancient One, got stuck for a while getting the right tex, but am happy with the result now, so, hopefully it should be ready to view next week....... I'll keep you informed....

Orange Boys
Well, this one is for the Orange People, although I dont do sketches, this is what I have in mind for Orange Island...
Its funny how fast you can get things done in SL, and how easily you forget that in RL things take so much longer....
I've been to see the little island that Orange will probably get me to plant up... looks very cute ....just give me the nod....

New paintings
I thought I'd put a few new paintings for sale in the annex, just for a bit of variety....
they're 100L$ each, not bad....:))
went to a big wedding yesterday, Cal and NZ, and of course we wish them all the best in their new life together...
lots of people in grey........ I think my puter isn't up to it, ....probably doesnt help, having an invent the size of a small country.... oh well, must do some filing (trashing) soon, I keep telling myself....

The Annex
Well, I had to put an extention on the Cloudshop to take a few extra trees... it was either that or start clearing up, and I'm too busy building stuff at the moment to tidy round...... or too lazy, anyway its not very full there yet, but the Flame of the Forest is there, with the Weeping Willow and the 49th ancient..... take a look if you have time, the entrance is behind the Snake Tree, you can't miss it.....:))
Meanwhile, waiting to finalise stuff with Orange Island, don't know how much land I'll have there..... but I got a big tree, unless theres no room...... my 50th.....
